Bride Of the century

BRIDE OF THE CENTURY

Rating: 6/10
Themes: Family Curse, Rich Guy–Poor Girl Trope, Romance, Rebirth, Fake Identity

We watched this after Master’s Sun — naturally hoping for something spooky and supernatural. But honestly? Big letdown on the horror front. There’s barely a jump scare in sight. For a drama supposedly about a haunted curse and ghostly bride, it didn’t deliver anything close to the eerie chills we expected.

That said, I did appreciate the female lead — strong both mentally and physically, grounded, hardworking, and not the typical damsel. She carried a lot of the weight of the drama. The male lead was the usual arrogant chaebol who falls for the sweet-hearted girl from a humble background, and well… we’ve seen that arc before.

The storyline is predictable, and there weren’t many twists or surprises to hold on to. It was slow in parts, and while the romance had its cute moments, it just didn’t have that spark. If you’re a horror or thriller fan — this is a one-time watch at best.

Watch it only if you’re in the mood for a light fantasy romance and can overlook the lack of suspense.
