Kiss: The Series

Okay, okay—let’s be real. We came for TayNew and stayed for TayNew.
This was where it really began—the origins of Pete and Kao. Their story was just a small side plot in this drama, but it had such a unique, sweet, and slow-burn feel that we couldn’t help but get invested.

While the main couple was doing the usual rom-com thing, Tay as Pete and New as Kao were just... vibing, looking, questioning their feelings, and doing the whole “I hate how much I like you but also don’t leave” energy. Their eye contact alone had more emotional tension than the actual main story.

Even with limited screentime, their chemistry lit up the screen, and it was obvious they were destined to get their own arc. (Spoiler alert: they did. And it was glorious.)
This was where we first saw Pete’s tsundere chaos and Kao’s soft resolve, and we were like… yeah, something’s happening here.

Verdict:
If you're a TayNew stan (and honestly who isn’t by now?), this is the beginning of the journey.
It’s not perfect, but it’s nostalgic, heart-fluttering, and the spark before the fire that became Dark Blue Kiss.
