Papa & Daddy – 4/10

Genre: Family / Slice of Life / BL

Bleh. Just… bleh. I really tried to give this one a fair chance, but it simply fell flat. The storyline had potential—BL exploring fatherhood and queer parenting? Yes, please. But the execution? Lacked spark, lacked warmth, lacked chemistry.

The leads felt more like awkward roommates than a couple raising a child. Every emotional beat felt forced, and there was zero romantic tension to keep me invested. I appreciate what it wanted to do, but unfortunately, it didn’t deliver where it mattered.

Heart was in the right place. But heart alone isn’t enough.

A passable premise with disappointing payoff.
