PUELLA MAGI MADOKA MAGICA

 PUELLA MAGI MADOKA MAGICA

Rating: 8/10
Genre: Eerie / Horror / Psychological / Bittersweet Magic Girl Deconstruction

This anime lured me in with its cutesy magical girl aesthetic, but oh boy — it rips the rug from under you so fast you won’t even have time to breathe. What starts as sparkles and friendship turns into existential dread, moral sacrifice, and the cruel price of hope.

This isn’t your average magical girl anime — this is what happens when despair dresses up in pink frills and a soul gem.

Every episode just deepens the pit in your stomach, and by the end, all that’s left is a bittersweet ache in your chest and a thousand thoughts running wild in your head. Madoka's fate, Homura’s choices, the universe-altering consequences of love and regret… it’s a slow descent into quiet devastation, and yet, there’s a strange comfort in it. A beauty in the way it hurts.

Madoka Magica didn’t make me cry loudly. It made me sit in silence and feel everything all at once.
