A foundational BL classic.

This series may not be perfect by today’s production standards, but it holds a special place in the hearts of long-time BL fans. It was part of the early wave that paved the way for the genre's global growth—especially in East Asia. "Takumi-kun" dared to explore male-male relationships in a time when few would even whisper about it.

What it lacked in modern finesse, it made up for with raw emotional storytelling, earnest (if slightly awkward) performances, and that quintessential schoolboy romance atmosphere. 

It’s a quiet, tender, and bittersweet series, and for many of us, it was a gateway—a gentle whisper of what queer storytelling could be. We owe a lot to series like this.
