Middleman's Love (2023)
Middleman's Love (2023) – 5/10
Thai BL • Office Romance / Comedy / Slow Burn
This series stars Tutor (Koraphat Lamnoi) as Jade, the ever-single middleman in his office friend group, and Yim (Phusanu Wongsavanischakorn) as Mai, the charming intern who starts pursuing him. With TutorYim being a fan-favorite pair from past supporting roles, expectations were sky-high—but sadly, the show doesn’t quite deliver.
While TutorYim’s chemistry remains undeniable, the way their characters were written felt flat and repetitive. Jade’s constant self-deprecation and Mai’s bland pursuit arc could’ve used far more depth or emotional grounding. The potential was clearly there—this could’ve been a solid workplace romance—but the story didn’t rise above clichés or explore any real challenges in their dynamic.
Despite the comedic moments and soft romantic scenes, the pacing dragged, and the side characters barely added anything meaningful. It's frustrating because Tutor and Yim deserved better material, and you can feel them doing their best with what little they’re given.
Rating: 5/10 – A waste of strong chemistry and good actors. Boring character arcs and a lackluster storyline make this an underwhelming experience, especially for loyal fans of the pair.
