Sasaki and Miyano

Sasaki and Miyano – 7/10

Japanese BL Anime • High School / Slow Burn / Slice of Life

A soft, easy-going high school BL that leans heavily into the "Boys' Love about Boys' Love" trope. The story revolves around Yoshikazu Miyano, a shy BL manga enthusiast, and Shūmei Sasaki, a slightly delinquent but kind upperclassman who takes an interest in both the genre—and Miyano himself.

While the art style is pleasing and the interactions are wholesome, the series is a very slow burn, to the point that the romance feels more teased than developed for most of the run. There's plenty of fluff and awkward sweetness, but not much payoff until the end. For some, the pacing might be soothing; for others, it may feel underwhelming.

Rating: 7/10Okayish. Cute and clean, but a bit too slow and surface-level for those looking for deeper emotional or romantic engagement.
