Let's be honest—we've all been yearning for an uncensored Chinese Wuxia/Xianxia BL, and Meet You at the Blossom delivers just that. Despite being only 12 episodes long, this drama takes the cake. Directed by Nancy Chen and based on the novel Hua Kai You Shi Tui Mi Wu Sheng by Shui Qian Cheng, the series is a collaborative effort between Chinese and Thai production teams. It aired on platforms like iQIYI, Viki, WeTV, and GagaOOLala.

As a fan, I could see how much heart was poured into this project. The young, rookie actors brought fresh energy to their roles. Wang Yun Kai portrayed Jin Xiao Bao, the heir of the wealthiest family in Jiangnan, while Li Le took on the role of Zongzheng Huai En, a mysterious figure with hidden motives. Their chemistry was undeniable, even if the relationship dynamics were complex and, at times, controversial.

The series is lauded for its stunning cinematography, capturing the essence of Jiangnan's landscapes. The soundtrack complements the visuals, enhancing the emotional depth of the story.

I absolutely loved every second of it. This drama is a bold step forward for Chinese BL, and I hope to see more such collaborations in the future. Thailand investing in these kinds of projects could pave the way for more full-length, uncensored Chinese BLs.
