Fangs of Fortune

 Fangs of Fortune – 6/10

A visual masterpiece trapped in a mess of a storyline.

I watched Fangs of Fortune for one reason only—the visuals. And yes, it was stunning. The CGI was dazzling, the costumes ethereal, and the actors—both male and female—looked absolutely phenomenal on screen. It was the kind of drama that makes you pause just to admire the frame. But unfortunately, that’s where my admiration ends.

The story? A complete letdown.

They killed off all the good characters for absolutely no reason. And the worst part? Every time someone was in real danger, it’s like all the powerful or capable characters conveniently vanished just so the tragedy could happen. It felt forced, like the writers were too lazy to come up with better conflict. There were so many plot holes that I just couldn’t keep track after a point.

The bromance was okay—I wouldn’t rave about it—but what truly annoyed me was the way they disposed of the anti-villain. That character had so much potential. There were layers to him, hints of a deeper backstory, and moments where he outshined even the protagonists. And then… poof. Killed off. No closure, no redemption arc, just because. Seriously?

Also, whoever did the background score clearly forgot that music is supposed to support a scene, not take over it. The OSTs were decent on their own, but when they’re playing at full volume during every emotional or action scene to the point where I couldn’t even hear the dialogue—that’s a problem.

It’s one of those dramas where everything looked right, but felt wrong. Style over story. Glamour over logic. Honestly, I wish I could say it was worth the time, but I’d only recommend this to someone who wants to watch something pretty with zero expectations from the plot.
