I started Legend of Anle purely for Gong Jun, and honestly—it paid off so well. This drama gave me everything I wanted: stunning visuals, a complex storyline, and characters who felt real—each with their own deeply rooted motivations.

This was also my first drama with Dilraba, and I can now see why she’s such a sensation. Not only is she breathtaking on screen, but her presence as the female lead carried both elegance and strength. She wasn’t just there to look pretty—her character had purpose, fire, and heart.

And can we talk about Gong Jun’s growth? After Word of Honor, I wasn’t sure if he’d ever top that performance, but here—he really showed emotional range and maturity. You could feel every silent conflict and every inner struggle. He was restrained when he needed to be and commanding when it mattered.

Now for the heartbreak… they killed off two of my favorite female characters. I was devastated. But their arcs were so well written and meaningful that the pain felt justified—not just thrown in for drama. Their deaths meant something in the story, and that’s rare. I was hurting but I loved it all the same.

Most of all, I appreciated how this drama gave space to multiple strong female characters—not just the FL. Whether driven by love, loyalty, revenge, or justice—they had agency. And that always wins me over.

Verdict: A layered, emotionally rewarding drama with strong performances, meaningful sacrifice, and powerful female characters. Gong Jun’s best work so far. Dilraba was a revelation. Worth every episode.
