Lovely Runner

 Lovely Runner – 8/10

A surprisingly enjoyable rom-com with a heartfelt time travel twist.

So, rom-coms aren’t exactly my genre. But Lovely Runner managed to pull me in with its sweet, time-bending storyline and the refreshing execution of a concept that’s been done a million times. The way time travel was handled here felt both purposeful and emotionally engaging. I genuinely enjoyed the emotional beats and the subtle “what if” moments scattered throughout the plot. The leads had good chemistry, and though the OSTs weren’t extraordinary, they did their job.

But I have to say, the arc of Sol’s best friend felt a bit… cringey. The whole “she ends up with her best friend’s brother” trope didn’t land well for me. Maybe I’ve outgrown that kind of over-the-top comedic subplot, but I just found those scenes more awkward than funny. They kind of threw off the tone a bit, especially since the main plot had some really tender moments.

Still, all in all, Lovely Runner was a good watch. Not life-changing, but definitely heartwarming and memorable in its own sweet, time-slipping way.
