I started Mission to the Moon solely because it had the second couple from Two Worlds—and I’m happy to say, they did not disappoint. Their chemistry, charm, and emotional connection were exactly what I hoped for. And the story itself? Surprisingly nice! There was a creative plot here—sci-fi, moon-based romance, corporate intrigue—it had promise.
BUT... the format really got in the way. With its 30 mini-episodes (each just a few minutes long), it became tiring to keep up. The story kept stopping and starting, and the pacing never found its rhythm. It honestly would’ve been better as a 6-episode standard series. They stretched it out unnecessarily over weeks, and the momentum just died somewhere along the way.
You could clearly tell it had a low budget, and while I appreciate the effort, the execution didn’t match the potential. I stuck around only because of my love for the actors. They carried the show more than anything else.
Verdict: A cute concept, good cast, and decent story—but the dragging release and chopped-up format really wore it down. Worth a watch if you’re a fan of the actors, but it deserved better storytelling space.
