Gangster Like Me Got a Boyfriend (Mini Series) – 5/10

This was honestly a meh watch from start to finish. The premise had potential — a gangster-themed mini BL should’ve been fun, chaotic, or at least entertaining — but the execution just wasn’t there.

The acting felt stiff, with the leads struggling to deliver natural expressions or emotional depth. Instead of feeling immersed in the story, I kept getting pulled out by awkward line delivery and reactions that didn’t match the scene. The plot execution was equally weak. Scenes felt rushed, disconnected, and lacking any real buildup. It was like watching a bunch of moments stitched together without proper direction or flow.

Thank god it was a mini series, because if this had been a full-length drama, it would’ve been even more tiring to sit through. Not terrible enough to hate, but not good enough to enjoy — just plain forgettable. Available on Shortime app.
