I absolutely loved this. Truly. This season was just as good as the first one — if not even better in some aspects. It keeps you constantly engaged with one mystery after another, and there’s never a dull moment. Every case feels intriguing, well thought out, and satisfying to follow.The real highlight, though, Maomao. She’s sharp, observant, and refreshingly different from typical characters. Watching her piece things together with such calm intelligence is incredibly satisfying. She carries the story effortlessly without ever feeling forced.

And Jinshi complements her perfectly. Their dynamic is subtle, layered, and so enjoyable to watch — not overly dramatic, but filled with quiet tension and understanding that builds naturally over time.What makes The Apothecary Diaries stand out is how it balances mystery, character depth, and world-building so smoothly. It never tries too hard, yet it delivers consistently.
